Meet Ben
Once upon a time, I was a winenoob like many of you - clueless about wines and way too shy to step foot in a wine shop. It felt like stepping into a jungle with all the fancy wine terms floating around. Terroir? Barrique? Tannins? I was convinced they were speaking a foreign language that I couldn’t understand. So I stuck to supermarket wines. But oh boy, that was like playing a never-ending game of Russian roulette. You don’t know what you buy and you never know if the next bottle will be a delight or a disaster…
However the world of wine intreaged me and I continued my discovery path. Fast forward a few years and I found myself studying Oenology and Viticulture. I worked as a winemaker in the beautiful vineyards of southern France and Germany. I had dived headfirst into the wine world and guess what? It wasn't as scary as I had imagined. It got me thinking.. why should wine feel so intimidating? Why does it feel like you need to be a connoisseur to enjoy a simple bottle of wine? Why not make wine fun, easy, and stress-free?
And that’s how winenoobs was born in 2021. A wine shop by a former wine noob, for all the wine noobs out there. Here, there's no judging, no confusing lingo, just good old fun, and great wine. So, let's embark on this wine journey together, one bottle at a time. Because remember, we're all winenoobs in the beginning!
